Dollywood, nestled in the picturesque Smoky Mountains of Tennessee, is known for its immersive and beautifully themed experiences. And during the Harvest Celebration, they take it to a whole new level. From September through November, the park transforms into a stunning autumn wonderland, and I couldn't have been more impressed.
Dollywood visitors who may have been disappointed to find the Lightning Rod rollercoaster was closed during their visit may look at planning their next visit in the spring, as the ride is scheduled for a change over the winter, according to Dollywood.
One of the biggest and best festivals every year at Dollywood is the Harvest Festival and Great Pumpkin Luminights. Both of these do not start until Sept 20th but the prep for the festival has already begun!
“We have so many wonderful things happening here, I have wonderful partners with the Herschends, but I’ve been blessed to do tons of stuff, and at my age I’m still doing it and I’m as excited about everything as I was back when I left the smokies dreaming years ago,” Parton said.
Dollywood has won five more Amusement Today Golden Ticket Awards, including Best Christmas Event and Best Park, according to Dollywood.
