The ‘queen of country’ has high hopes for Dollywood’s 39th season

PIGEON FORGE, Tenn. (WATE) — Dolly Parton is continuing to add to her theme park, known as Dollywood. The biggest additions for their 39th season is what will be known as the Dolly Parton Experience, which is expected to be complete by May 24. Parton is also excited for new entertainment to fill the park after adding three new shows that guests can enjoy.

Parton shares what she hopes visitors will love this year after the park added more operation days than ever before. After sitting down with Living East Tennessee’s Veronica Ogbe, she takes a look back at an interview she did with WATE over a decade ago and tells Ogbe what has kept her going throughout her career.
